The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has reassessed transportation needs and identified options for improving PA 41 between Route 926 and the Delaware state line in Chester County.  Numerous engineering activities have taken place along the corridor in the past two years as part of a detailed needs study.  PennDOT worked to update environmental and land use information, identify historic resource constraints, collect traffic data and examine turning movements at key intersections.

This information gathered from this study enabled PennDOT to gain a clearer understanding of the traffic and environmental conditions along the corridor so that current and anticipated future transportation needs could be identified.  These needs were used to develop and evaluate a range of transportation improvement options.

Now that information has been collected, analyzed and documented, PennDOT has scheduled a public information meeting to discuss the results of these activities and options for enhancing traffic flow and safety along PA 41.

The Open House Plans Display was held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the Hartefeld National Golf Course in Avondale from 6:30 - 9:00 pm. To view the meeting materials, please visit our Project Resources page.
